Fighting depression – mind matters!

They say a human being can survive anything as long they  see the end in sight of an accomplishment.
But depression is that monster that takes away your ability to even see. It ends up making you blind, losing hopes.

A year back I used to think that depression is a very big word and people just use it whenever they are sad.
And it didn’t really make sense to me,
but when I sailed through that boat, I somehow realised how being sad builds up to feeling depressed.
How being sad and irritated ruins your hope for a new day and a new start,  how you don’t feel like waking up from your bed all day long because you feel there is no purpose.

I believe the major reason for a human being to live is purpose. And if there’s no purpose there’s no hope to live.
When you find purpose, you find happiness, and if there’s no purpose, then no amount of money, fame or limelight can give you that happiness.

I say this because I have had days when I had no purpose to wake up, to do things or go out.
All I ended up doing was to be sad and irritated and not talk to anyone all day.

But then it went on for so long that I had to help myself somehow and the only way
You can help yourself in such situations is by reaching out to your loved one’s and talking to them.

Every individual needs five VALUE that is :
V – Validation
A- Acceptance
L- Love
U – Understanding
E- Encouragement

These are the basic values that any person suffering from depression requires and  you can be that person to help them out.
All they want is someone to say ” I’m listening, I understand and I’m here for you”.
And honestly I’m glad I had my hero who gave me these values on my worst days.

Does this make you realise how important your mental health can be?
Depression can be as painful as physical pain  and one out of five people commit suicide because of this unbearable pain.

Just as you go to a doctor for any physical pain. why can’t you visit a therapist for your mental illness?
Isn’t it equally normal?

I believe people who proudly own their medication and mental illness in front of the world are real hero’s because it takes a lot for an individual to show his pain because no one wants to feel vulnerable here.

To help you guys out I have found some helpline numbers.

if you are going through any of this even a slightest inconvenience that makes you feel you have no purpose, talk to your close ones or therapist, when you talk you realise how important you are and you were born with a purpose.

I even found out a site that helps you through.  it is called Blurt.https://www.blurtitout.org/2020/04/15/project-quaranzine/ . This site sends you all sort of motivation and positive quotes to remind you that you are important.

I even found  a site link where you can use this link to reach out to therapists at anytime.https://www.justanswer.com/sip/mental-health?r=impact%7C411371%7CMedical%20%28Mental%20Health%29&clickid=SwDzK7W-cxyOR710O7XQxx3QUki3%3AB0cxTJc2k0&irgwc=1

Lastly, I would say you’re important, you are loved, someone is praying for you.
Everyone has bad days but you’ll get through it because it’s not the end, if it’s not good.
You are strong and brave enough to fight this.
Help yourself and your loved ones through this because every life matters.

Take care of yourself ❤️✨

Beliefs – to believe it or not?

Everyone believes in something – religion, an afterlife, love at first sight, fate, marriage, destiny, gods, ghosts, etc. For many, these beliefs make up a large part of their lives and their being. In fact, for some, their beliefs define them.

Basically belief is an acceptance that something exists or is true, especially one without proof.

Beliefs have a major effect on today’s society. Our life seems almost entirely based on institutions and beliefs like marriage, religion, and fate. With nearly the entire world taking part in some sort of belief system, how is it that someone like me believes in very few things out of these beliefs?

Have you ever wondered how are beliefs formed?

It all revolves around us, in the environment we are brought up in, with people we talk and share our thoughts and ideas out of them we perceive the ones that interests us.

Wait, I’ll make it easy for you.

It all starts with a wheel, a wheel called as wheel of belief,

* we have an idea that is brought up to us by socialising

* this idea is thought over more because we perceived it as it interests us

*we start making judgements because after all we are a social animal.

*this judgement helps in taking or not taking action on that idea

* if action is taken, there are results and if the results are in favour of us we tend to have a good mentality about that idea and we start making it our belief.

So, this is how the whole process works,But I believe if there is no real proof for the idea to be believed then it’s not real. And in this process sometimes people are blinded to see the truth and the difference between belief and truth when understood is knowledge.

I don’t really believe in gods,  ghosts, magic, or any other non-tangible concept mostly – not because I do not want to, but simply because my mind cannot fathom it. To me, facts are critical. Yet, I would never say that those who choose to believe in faith-based concepts are wrong; rather, they simply do not think like me and are able to maintain faith without proof to back it up. In a way I envy them. I wish for one minute I could believe in something spectacular and paranormal, but here I am believing myself!

To believe it or not is on you!

ONE BAD TOUCH!

Innocence taken without warning
left alone, broken and torn.
Scared to speak up, scared to be shunned,
Don’t tell a soul, don’t let them see the ugly truth.
Fine on the outside, Dying on the inside.
At night, reliving the nightmare in my mind, wishing someone would help.

One bad touch can take away a lot from you,
You are forced into silence, wishing someone would help, but all you have is yourself.
Crying in pain with open wounds that won’t heal, horrific memories that won’t leave, all you want is someone to help!

How everything after that changes for you,
Every man seems a predator waiting to gulp you up!
You don’t seem to trust anyone even with good intentions, you see  bad in all.

Everytime you close your eyes, that face and incident haunts you for years and years no matter how old you are.
And some days you wish you had stood up for yourself,
But some days you think staying quiet helped you for your sanity.

It’s just one bad touch, that haunts you for life!

Monotonous life?

I wonder how we all are stuck in this pandemic, calling it a monotonous life. Where we wake up doing the same routine as days pass by.

But, little did we know this is called life for some!

How growing up with responsibilities to satisfy yourself in the eyes of society starts with a monotonous life. Amidst of chaos they live, growing so fast, without any fullstop. Trains moving, vehicles honking and people shouting all around.

Living monotonously they never realised , this is life!
